I worked more yesterday on Trickle Down. Here's where it's at right now.
And I got 2 packages from Daniel Smith yesterday: photo mount cards (for Jerry) and a tube of Iridescent Copper; and then my box of 12 colors - the new ones, Apatite Blue (freebie for ordering 12), Bloodstone Genunine (I have no idea WHY I ordered this but, apparently, I did), and Lamp Black (want to try this in backgrounds like Carol Carter), and another tube of Iridescent Copper - I have a use for this, I think....but that's another painting...
Don't you love getting new paints and paper (that, too, is ordered and should be here next week), and pencils and sketchbooks and...
May your year be artfully applied.

It is so fun to receive new supplies. I really like "Trickle Down" Wonderful background! I am enjoying watching this one develop and I can't wait to see how you are going to use the copper and lamp black.
Thanks, Vicki - I want to do some swatches of the new colors and see what comes out of that but I won't be using them in the Trickle Down painting.
Oh cool, I can see paintings with the new paints in your near future. Such fun to get new supplies or books. It brings that Christmas/birthday feeling every time *grin*.
I love getting new supplies! Unfortunately, Hubby has the credit card, so ordering anything gets turned into a 'big deal' --- else I would do it so much more often!
I don't understand why I can stop by the tiny, overpriced (but the lady who owns it is so cute!) local supply store and spend $20-30 almost any time with no issue...
but whenever I want to order something, even though I am getting so much more for the money, I get a
"MORE art supplies?!"
Makes no sense.
Anyway, have you used the copper before? Am excited to see where you use it.
Wanted to do a painting of copper colored orchids against a deep purple background - and realized I had nothing to make anything like a copper out of.
May have to give this a try.

Have fun with the new paint, Rhonda! Nothing beats getting an order with new paint tube colours. Trickle Down is looking awesome!
Angela, don't know why your comment came through twice, maybe a blogger glitch :) Thanks for stopping and commenting - just tell your husband what a great bargain you're getting by ordering from a catalog that has sales! I'm loving your Minnesota Monster - welcome to the world of blogging.
Hey, Deb! Thanks for stopping and commenting. Haven't used the new stuff yet.
Ann, yes it was actually a Christmas present from Jerry that didn't arrive in time (because I didn't order it in time).
I'm waiting for my Daniel Smith watercolors to arrive...can't wait! Hope you are enjoying yours!
