Yesterday we got hit with snow, sleet, freezing rain, and
ice
ice
ice
over everything at least 1 inch thick.
Beautiful but deadly with power outages and broken limbs coming down on houses, cars, roadways. Luckily we didn't have to go outside at all and today looks the same with temperatures not getting above 20F so it won't melt.

Wow, Rhonda! Stay warm and stay safe. We have had a colder than normal Winter here, but of course that is nothing like what you folks back East are enduring. This year has been pretty bad, huh?
Although cold and dangerous, your photos show a definite beauty with all the ice on everything. We live in a golf course community and the morning after one of our coldest nights here we drove on a street that passes through one the golf courses and a sprinkler head had burst and sprayed a mesquite tree with water, which froze, and it looked so bizarre packed with ice two-inches thick while sitting on clear green grass! Lots of our desert trees were lost this year from several "hard" freezes we had, especially the citrus trees.
Stay warm!
Freezing right along with you here in NJ, Rhonda. Think summer!
