PLANNING ANOTHER ONE

Some items I have on hand to make a painting.  I began this one with the drawing, making a cruciform shape and then fitting things into that shape - I think that will make a stronger painting in the end.

What I don't have, I'll gather from photos cut from magazines (for color choices or shapes).

Looks like another winner is on its way friend. Can't wait to see how this one turns out. I love the cruciform design. Take care and have a great weekend. Hugs!

A bit of my stream of conciousness;

....Love the composition and the scrumptious blue/greens....I wonder if they will stay that way.... oh but the satsumas will sing sing sing against those blue/greens! Maybe the colours will morph into something else....now I see the link with the previous painting with those lovely stripes...and is that the tulips at the back? ....this is so exciting!

I like that you are keeping us guessing with this series I'm on the edge of my seat. Your pencil case is fab btw!

any particular reason for the cruciform shape?

Thanks, Debbie :)

Lisa, thanks so much for your stream of consciousness comment = love it! I bought that pencil case at Dick Blick in Savannah, GA this year - can't visit without coming home with something new and I loved the case :)

Jennifer Rose, no particular reason for the cruciform, just thinking about good shapes to work with and that's one that works well in painting (like the S shape leading in and around a painting).

ah ok :) just thought since you are planning your paintings so much that the shape had a reason :)
