I took the sketch of the live model done in my first Saturday Life Drawing class, traced the outline of the body onto tracing paper and then traced that onto watercolor paper...then I added a few light washes.
It has a ways to go before being completed but I think I'll add washes slowly and see if I can build up more definition. (And seeing it this way, I see the bar bends and definitely needs to be straightened.)

You've got a great start! Adding washes should really enhance the subject and also create interest. Can't wait to see the finished painting!
Wow! The elbow/arm areas are hard to do like that, but you made it totally believable. The skin seems to be literally wrapped around the figure....incredibly good job!
I am so excited to see this rendering in watercolor after all of those body parts! This already has a skin sheen to it and will only get better with additional light washes. You are really onto something here.

Thanks so much for your positive comments, Kathy, Sandy, Susan and Pam. I hope to do more today since it's going to rain. Yesterday was spent outside enjoying the autumn colors so no painting then. We are being treated to an extraordinary fall foliage spectacular!
AWESOME! you did a great work Rhon, looks like all the exercises on anathomy are already paying, I love how the shadow of her arm wraps around her side and back, really well done!
