With the words added. Hard to see in the photo, but it says
Just keep swimming!
(I softened out the tailfin.) This is on Stonehenge Aqua hotpress paper (I'm liking it more, the more I use it.)
And we can use that tagline now because we are having rain rain rain and more rain. The Ohio River is at flood stage and overflowing streets in Newport and Bellevue on the Kentucky side.
And more rain predicted this week.
So, keep your head above water (unless you're a mermaid) and more mermaids and birds to come...

She's a well watered mermaid, almost a cross between a flounder and a person with that lovely rounded shape.
As is said here, at least you don't have to shovel rain. :) Unfortunately, when the ground is frozen, heavy rain causes problems.
Rhonda it looks like you have discovered another wonderful series to keep you creating. Hope you are safe from the flooding...we have had lots here too and then last night blustery snow. Take care and keep painting. Hugs!
Your mermaids are just wonderful, Rhonda! What a great series.
And rain, rain, rain? Welcome to my world in the Pacific Northwest. Seriously, though, stay dry and stay safe :)
do you ever draw a full body mermaid? the tails are great just asking out of curiosity :)
Thanks, Jeanette, no shoveling the rain but it can cause problems when the ground is so saturated. It's clear now and warmer for a while - spring will come!
Thanks, Debbie, no flooding here but areas close to us were in trouble for a while - seems to be getting better.
Thanks, Chris - yes, I imagine you have it all the time there!! But that's what makes it all so green!
Thanks, Jennifer, I will consider that a mild challenge and try to do one full-size...I just don't care for the hokey "shell bra" type so I'll have to figure out how to work around that :) I certainly have plenty of photos of mermaids so...stay tuned!!
