7 x 10 ROUGH SERIES: HUMMINGBIRD

Back to the 7 x 10 Rough series of birds in between other things.

I enjoy switching back and forth between the rough paper and the hotpress paper.

This little hummingbird is from a photo Sweetie took from his trip to Costa Rica last year.

It looks like you really enjoyed painting this beauty, Rhonda!
Aside from your perfect color palette, I absolutely love how you've rendered the background. Hope you put a frame on it :)

I would like to 'second' this one for framing. It's lovely. Really captured the shimmery sheen on the feathers.

Thanks so much, Chris, Jennifer, Lisa, Deb and Debbie. This one got a lot of attention and he deserves it = a real cutie little hummingbird from Costa Rica. They are so unusual and there are so many species there we don't have here in the US. And we just get 1 or 2 coming through our area in the spring/summer/fall - but always amazing to watch them buzzing around. Glad you all like this one!
