CHARCOAL ON TONED PAPER - TURKEY VULTURE

Charcoal pencils and vine charcoal on Strathmore toned paper.

Turkey Vulture

(From a photo taken on the last trip to Anna Maria Island - having the red tide come through meant a lot of vultures flying around the rooftops.)

Happy new year and my best wishes for 2016. Loving the charcoal on toned paper, they work beautifully. I have always liked your bird paintings. Looks like you have got off to a good start and I will look forward to seeing more of your black and white drawings. Can you last a month without colour?
This morning we had a rainbow, so beautiful against grey cloudy sky. We are having many grey days as it never seems to stop raining.
Thanks for your new year wishes and lovely comment, so glad you enjoyed the walk. Millyx

Thanks, Lois, for taking the time to stop by and comment :) Not my favorite so far - but it's all experimenting and getting used to the materials.

Thanks, Milly! I cannot go a month without color - which is why I'm interspersing these with acrylic colors - ha ha Love rainbows - they lift my spirit and make me feel like there is something better than grey and rain. Thanks for the offer of the bulbs - I know I'll get some for my birthday!
