Did just a little bit more on it and I think it's done. I tried a bit of opaque white and cerulean splatter but it just looked too contrived at the end so...you can't see much of it here. The trick is to splatter it - go for it - commit to it - then leave it alone!
And now time to print out some flamingo photos and start having fun with that for a while :)
I have to tell you that it has been delightful to catch up with most of the blogs on my blogroll as the days go by at home again. Afterall, I've missed a week of postings! Each artist in my sidebar brings me such joy, such contentment, such peace at times - you are all such special creations and I know this whether we have met face-to-face yet or not :) Thank you very much for being, and for blogging.

Welcome home! Her Blue Dress is lovely.
Thanks, Vicki. It's always good to return home and settle back in. Glad you like Her Blue Dress - for some reason I called it an iris but it's not - it's a macro of an orchid taken in Qualicum Beach last year at an orchid exhibit/garden.
Great to have you back, Rhonda. I concur with your feelings about blogging friends - so nice to come home to! I love this painting too.
Hi Rhonda, I came across your blog here whilst surfing for watercolour artists. 'Her blue dress' is very striking painting. Do you know I've never painted a flower in my life... but I must do one day. Anyway, from one artist to another, keep creating ~ Chris
Beautiful, Rhonda!
You pulled this through perfectly.
Thanks so much, Cathy G., Chris (thanks for stopping by!) and Suzanne, for you comments on this one. I need to start those flamingos now...soon!
