Oh I really like this one Rhonda...the mix of colors is just perfect. Hope you are having a super May. Seen where you saw the Borealis lights. I didn't capture them on camera but did see how they were light in the sky. Think that lots of folks captured them on night mode on camera. Hope you had a lovely Mother's Day. Hugs!
I can see why, it's beautiful. As well as being one of your subjects...a mermaid, a redhead and a strong looking character. There is a gorgeous flow to her hair and the submerged part of her is so believable and you have made it look effortless.
Thanks so much, Debbie, Lisa and Laura! I’m glad you like this one, too. Something about the mermaid-like feeling about it caught my eye and I really wanted to paint this one. Still added some white gel/ink pen to pick out some whites but I don’t mind that. I have become someone who uses whatever to get to the end (I used to tear up a lot because I’d lost the whites!).

Oh yes, I love this one too! The blue/orange palette, the composition, but mostly the contemplative feeling!
