I’ve painted a version of this one several times. I think this one comes closest to what I envisioned when I saw the magnolia bud on a trip to Savannah, GA.

Thanks, Jennifer, I think they are a southern US thing - but maybe other warm climes, too? Gorgeous full white flowers in bloom but this is just the pod starting to poke out and show itself. The seed pods, when bloomed out and done, are pretty cool, too. Thanks, Laura.
