THE CURE TO A LONG WEEKEND

"The cure for anything is salt water --- sweat, tears, or the sea."
--- Isak Dinesen

Wherever your travels take you this 3-day weekend of ours in the US, be safe, and remember all those who have walked these shores before us.

Hi Rhonda - love this quote! Your Nick Simmons workshop looks great, I'll be back to read all about it properly and pick up some tips... have a lovely weekend!

Suzanne, your waves inspired me...and I just happened to see this quote on our Ocean Conservancy calendar = synchronicity! Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks, Marilyn, for stopping by and commenting. I have to visit your blogs more often...I'm with you on the rosemary = there is something so calming and beautiful about that plant and I always reach out and rub some on my hand and gorge in the smell.
Jeanette, you have a good weekend, too...lots of warmth inside and out :)
Cathy, so good to have you back home and read about your visit - waiting for more paintings to come when you are feeling 110% again.

Love the Dinesen quote--I'll have to copy that!
Since I live at the shore, on holiday weekends, everyone comes to me! I used to consider it something of a pain, but the older I get the more sentimental I am becoming about holidays like Memorial Day, the Fourth, and Veterans' Day.

Love the quote and the photos of the water.

I still have to read all about your workshop. Sounds like you had a great time.

You are such a lucky lady, Laura, to live by the sea, and to be able to paint it! That's my goal for my next lifetime :)
Carol, hope you enjoy the workshop info :)
