This painting finally talked me into going back to it and trying to get a bit more done. Jerry saw it propped up on my painting table and said, "I really like that painting you're working on...but it's a lot more detailed than you usually do." He's right about that! I told him this one may be my 2010 painting - one of these types per year :)
I do feel better now that I have a blush of color or more on each of the skeins so I feel like I don't have to look at all that white paper.

Color makes a difference, doesn't it. It sure brightened my day when I saw this. :)
Isn't it nice to get unsolicited praise from a loved one. This piece certainly looks good and will be well worth your efforts - an unusual subject too - lots of colour and texture. x
Too cool, Rhonda! This is going to be one of your great paintings, I think. It is so unique in concept and will be wonderfully detailed. Hang in there, you are doing great!
This painting is really coming along well, Rhonda. At this point, I especially like your blue skein - it is very realistic. I used to be a spinner and a weaver before I started to paint; I can really appreciate the different twists in the yarn. Terrific job!
For someone who does not do real detailed paintings very often you certainly do them well. This is looking GOOD!
I agree with Christiane - the blue skein is to die for! Now just take the time on those others and you will have an amazing painting.
Rhonda, this is looking great. Keep going. I want to see a finished painting soon. Then you can knit a scarf with those skeins of yarn.
Thank you so much for your comments on this one, I'll need all the support I can get to keep me motivated to finish this sometime before summer!
Moving on well with delightful colour choice. Wonderful unusual subject. Can't wait to see final detail - even if the other half thinks it has lots of detail already!!
I think it's looking great!
Love the colors and the texture. Everyone is so talented. I love looking at everyone's work.
Thanks so much for your comments on this WIP, Joan, Angela and Ramona :)
