I don't know why but every time I hear the phrase, "Shut your pie hole," I laugh. So it's become a saying around our house. But you don't want to shut your pie hole now or you'll miss this delicious, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth-and-make-your-tummy-happy peanut butter pie, with just enough chocolate to make it interesting.
Sometimes a girl just has to have comfort food. And I'm calling this my birthday pie :) I had a piece on Sunday with my sister and another piece yesterday. I don't purchase a whole pie - I would eat it all in one sitting.
Maybe a pie series a la Wayne Thiebaud is in the mental work station? ha ha That would give me an excuse to have more pie...and more flavors...but don't worry - I'm not off my healthy diet except for this deviation for a day or so :)
Then back to the grind so I can keep my girlish Mii figure :)

So it would be said that you don't take the cake. You take the pie, especially if chocolate's involved! I fianlly played Wii last weekend and did darn good. We may have to have a match. I can really jump ski jumps! Imagine that.
That looks scrumptious although I'm not a peanut butter fan. Please make a chocolate version just for me.
Here in the UK the usual saying is "shut yer cake'ole!" LOL
My Mii character isn't nearly so shapely - but she's darned good at table tennis. ^_~
A little pie never hurt nobody! (p.s. should you need help finishing any of it, let me know!!!!) And thus begins my commitment to healthier eating habits for 2010! =:-)
Naw, you can have the cake, Sandy, just give me pie!! ha ha Yeah, a game of Wii sounds good - aren't the ski jumps fun? I'm not too good at the slalom, though, keep missing my targets because I want to go fast.
Gillian, I found while living in Wales that the folks think our traditional pumpkin pie is one of the worst ideas on the planet! Maybe they feel the same about peanut butter pie? The restaurant has a chocolate silk pie that has enough chocolate in it for any chocoholic so I'll save you a piece of that :) Table tennis is another I'm not that good at - but I haven't tried it much yet.
LOL, Deb, save your commitments for your art :) Those food commitments never work out anyway.
Don't think I heard that expression until George Carlin used it in one of the later shows. Conjures up a few images in my head, heheh.
