Just a few I did while sitting in front of the TV last night "watching" the biopic, "I Walk the Line." I had seen it twice before so was just enjoying the music more than anything. These were all sketched in graphite, then got the Inktense watercolor pencils out and then the permanent ink. They are all the ACEO size = 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
The bee is The Spelling Bee and has trailing after him from his little stinger (which he would never use because he is a spelling bee, not a honeybee) the word that was spelled to win the 2009 Scripts-Howard Spelling Bee. The word was...
Laodicean. Do you know what it means? It means...
lukewarm or indifferent, especially in religion.
Now, when would you ever USE that word?? The little girl who won wants to be a neurosurgeon when she grows up - and I bet she is that and more.
These are just some little things to make me feel like I was creating something after this week from hades (I was going to say hell but hades has such a nice, literary ring to it, don't you think? ha ha)
Oh, and I slept well last night without medication = the first night this week.

Cute little works. You got any of the medication left. I'm not sleeping that well.
Hello! I admire your ability to actually work while the TV is on-- I can't do it, must leave the room or have it off.
I just wanted to drop by and personally thank you for your kind words about my photography on Laura Trevey's blog. I'm actually holding a giveaway this weekend too, so if you'd like to try your luck at winning the photo in addition to Laura's watercolor, just leave a comment on my blog tomorrow indicating your favorite photo.
Again, many thanks for the kind words and have a fantastic weekend!
Bill, shhhh...I think sending this kind of medication may be a Class A felony but if you don't tell anyone and send me your address, I'm sure something can be done :) Just kidding, any police enforcement officers out there!
Kenna, thanks for stopping by. Your photos are lovely and there were many to choose from - I guess I'd better choose and see if I get luckier in June than I did in May!
Cute! My favourite is the bee of course with all the ligt pretty colors.
Take care!
I thought I was so clever coming up with this one, Teresa, but it's probably been done 100 times :) Oh, well, made me feel creative, anyway. You could probably come up with something more imaginative?
It is creative Rhon, it could have been done a million times and yet be done in a creative way each single time, right?
What I find really appealing of it is not just the spelling bee but the lines and patterns put there, you have a natural sense of design that is working perfectly in that one, so don't look down on yourself!
Rhonda,
Cute works,
Also wanted to say thanks for putting up a link to my blog and for saying "I Rock"
Thanks again sincerely,
Paul Kasmir
Hi, Paul, thanks for stopping by. You do rock! Love your watercolors and pen + ink work, too. You need more attention so I'm sharing the light. There are sooo many excellent artists out here in bloggerville and I love it when I find someone new whose art makes me go, "Wow, that guy/girl is really good!"
Teresa, you are right - creativity in any difference that shows. Today I was thinking of The Bee's Knees and wondering how to show that! ha ha
Now you got me blushing,
awww shucks,
Thank you Rhonda.
Paul, take a photo and do a self-portrait of you blushing :) I'll be over to check it out in a few days!
Rhonda,
Posting up that self portrait you asked for, it will be the second picture right below the Bull sitting out in a field the eyes are definitely spot on, and its a pretty close representation of me.
Paul, I had a feeling this was a funny - and it was! ha ha I don't think that's you at all. However, I love your Taurus and just saw you have some whimsical artwork I missed and must view now. I admire anyone who can create this kind of work - pure imagination and creativity without having to rely on photos, drawings, etc. Keep trying for that book - I think you deserve to give it at least 25 tries before giving up. You never know who will fall in love with it and have to have it published for you.
Rhonda,
Now your saying I look funny?? LOL
The eyes are mine though seriously.
As to the book I figure somewhere down the road it will be published just have to find that right editor/publisher.
This is the one thing that confuses me about blogging I keep answering back but I'm never sure
if I should or if I'm becoming a bother?
Well I figure when you stop replying I will get the hint.LOL.
Okay! Wow! I am totally in love with the the red background card in the lower left corner and the red two faces card in the upper right corner...both have amazing pizazz...I am so drawn to them...If no one else has requested these...How about a trade of these two? Fingers and toes crossed!
These two little cards will be flying to your home soon, Peg :) Probably go out in the mail tomorrow! I'm so glad you like them - I liked the red, too :)
Paul, I have stopped commenting on this post as it is now "older" and off the front page - but I know we are continuing in others posts - and, no, I'm not saying you're funny looking! ha ha Just funny :)
