Today is the first day since Tuesday that I felt human again...so going to get some photos together and review the workshop stuff and get back to drawing or painting.
This evening, Mom's cooking a special meal for Jerry as a belated birthday dinner. He's asked for chocolate cake for his birthday cake - so boring!!! ha ha My favorite cake is carrot cake - Mom's version with lots of pineapple and walnuts and good stuff and cream cheese icing! YUM!

My niece, for her wedding, had just the cake topper and cupcakes. That is the in thing now = cupcakes instead of a large wedding cake. Makes sense to me - and you can have a variety of cupcakes.

We are very much alike in that I will always go for moist, fruity carrot cake and that to-die-for cream cheese frosting....every time!
What a colorful photo and great composition this is for a painting. Looks like you have a good drawing going, looking forward to seeing the painting come to life.
Vicki, I am not a cake person - not my favorite dessert any time so I always ask for the carrot cake for my birthday - but one year I asked for my Mom's homemade peanut butter fudge = yum!!!
Susan, my Mom makes the best - it weighs a ton, too! You can't be counting your calories and indulge in that - but it's only once a year.
I have the photo sketched out on hotpress paper 1/2 sheet - we'll see how it goes tomorrow. Going to wear my ragged clothes because I know I'll be messy.
