From a fallen tulip poplar blossom that was on the path during a recent walk in the woods. I brought it home to use as model. It didn’t last long, so glad I took a photo of it before we left (while it was still fresh).
Hi Rhonda, I like the plants and flowers which grow in your region, lots of inspiration for your paintings. Fascinating to see the Flamingos egg, amazing size and pink feathers gorgeous. I once watched a programme about the cicadas strip the trees, Not very fond of them critters! We are enjoying some sunshine so outside planting pots, watching butterflies and birds. Found a lovely Moth but not much drawing happening. Lovely to find your comment, glad you enjoyed the post, your very kind words. Yes, the cicadas are LOUD and can damage young trees - they are annoying for that only but they do not bite or sting - but can fly at you and buzz you like a dive bomber!! I will be glad when they are gone back into the ground.
