Finished version - would like to go back and make the cut pieces more 3D but I might just accept this as it is. Washed a warm yellow over the whole white of the paper after I finished to give it more of a glow.
Great finish Rhonda and that yellow glaze does give the painting a glow. I like how you composed the beets in the top left corner too. Hope you have a great weekend. Is it warmer in your part of the country. Here in Ohio we are having a cold start to May with lots of rain. Needed the rain though because April was very warm and dry. Well take care - hugs!
Thanks, Debbie and Jennifer - we had rain most of the day on Mother’s Day (this past Sunday) and now it’s chilly but I’m okay with that. Wouldn’t bother me if it stayed 65-75 degrees.

the yellow glaze ties all of the beets together well 😀

Turned out very nicely, Rhonda. I like how you placed the slices so close to the edge, and all the negative space!
