Painted this one without drawing, just put the paint on while looking carefully at the photo reference. Leaving it without a background because I started another with a drawing and the background...
Nicely done. I like to try to paint without drawing sometimes too; it's freeing. These are both lovely--the wetness of the green background appeals to me; but you know how much I like a white background, and in this case, it lends to what seems to me a Chinese brushwork feeling.
