MORE STUDIES STARTING WITH ORANGE

Perinone Orange

Cobalt Teal Blue

Putting down the Orange first and then the Cobalt Teal, the blue tended to push into the orange.
Putting down the Cobalt Teal first and then the Orange, the orange held its own and stayed in place, neither seeping into the blue or letting the blue seep into it.

Unless I say otherwise, all the pigments I am using are made by Daniel Smith.

Rhonda - Happy New Year - looks like such joyful complimentary colors you have chosen. Love the Orange. Hugs!

it looks like the orange is trying to crush the teal.

This combination is a winner!

Thanks, Chris, Debbie, PTMan and Laura. Yes, this is just a good way to get into color again after a year of mostly black and white drawings. I finished my Anna Maria sketchbook (Stillman & Birn) and had purchased this Indigo paper (140# cold press) sketchbook but it seemed too absorbent for taking on trips with me so thought I’d try to play with color.
