I thought Indigo was only used in the rainbow.

Ah, PTMan, does that mean Mother Nature has the copyright on Indigo? She better not hear of indigo plants and dying with indigo! I think humans love and use colors of all hues, values, and pigments - and Daniel Smith seems especially interesting in mining for new man-man and natural colors. I don’t use Indigo often but it’s a good, strong, blue you can’t go wrong with when used in small doses. :)

Your colour studies are a great idea Rhonda and we can learn so much about colour from doing them. Looking forward to seeing more! Happy New Year!

This one looks like it could have been painted by Mark Rothko! It's really so lovely just in its own right

Thanks, Caroline. I hope I learn a bit of information I can retain. I should be thinking about which colors push other colors and look more bossy (or brighten up a dull area) in future paintings.

Laura - well, you can’t get much better than that comment!!!! I wonder if I should start doing this on large sheets?? ha ha.
