JAY
A quizzical bluejay for you. In spite of the cold, we have 3 bluejays coming to the feeders, along with woodpeckers (red-bellied, hairy and downy ones), cardinals, tufted titmouses (or mice?), juncos, and the usual bunch of goldfinches.
More birds to come...

love Bluejays even if they are just big bullies :p your has the cheeky look to it :)
Great expression and stance. I always love the black on a bluejay: such a good-looking bird.

Good beginnings. The background reminds me of summer colors that we are all longing for now.
Jennifer Rose, when I moved away from home and was gone a lot, coming in some weekends but not often, my grandmother would start baking a ham and making homemade potato salad when a bluejay came to her porch because she'd tell my sister that I was on my way home - I think she was right enough times to make it worth the effort! I'd show up and she'd say, "I knew you were coming, I saw your bluejay this morning!". So they have a special place in my heart, although they do make a ruckus at times!
Thanks, Laura, such handsome birds, always :)
Lisa, thanks so much, yes, the bg is just a mishmash of greens to indicate warmer weather :)
Yes, jays have that "attitude," for sure, but I love them, too.
Beautifully painted, Rhonda!
Thanks, Chris :)
