I like the way you have presented the photograph in the second image, the border gives the impression of a postcard. The shadows make it seem like you can pluck it from the screen. Best wishes for a creative week.
Thanks, Lisa. I had to look again at the 2nd painting - that is the cork board around the paper that I always use pushpins on! I do like it, too, and may incorporate that with a thin brownish line around the whole painting :). Sometimes things happen that give you an idea to try and thanks for pointing that out. (I remember long ago another artist was horrified to find out that I was using pushpins on the edges of my paintings to show them! I know it does create holes but they are so close to the edge that, even if the painting was good enough to frame, the framer could cover.)
