Just a few of the things I’ve been doing since September began…
Bought a new watercolor book by an artists who gives lessons on Domestika.com (I took a few of her classes and she’s good so thought her book would be interesting.). It’s mostly for beginners but…you always learn something every time you go through a book about watercolor.
And a few of the birds inspired by her work in the book - the white egret is a photo Sweetie took (first version in muted greys, second with egret masked out and bg done first) - but the peacock is from her photo in the book and done my way (she only used 4 colors on her version = Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black).

Gosh Rhonda you have been busy! I have had a lovely time catching up with your work. I think (touch wood) the glitch in my being able to comment is now fixed, though I don't know how. I loved the pieces you did on the mindful drawing course and of course your birds which are always so well done. The egrets are always a treat to see, I remember the drawings you did on toned paper a few years back. They stick in my mind. Best wishes.
Lisa, I definitely go in spurts of energy at times…but, really, I do something creative when I feel well (this time of year the ragweed really has me feeling awful some days but not every day so I try to make the most of good, clear-headed, headache-free day!). Our weather has been bone dry and everything is brown and crinkly and having to be watered often to remain alive :(. And I think that adds to the pollen count. So glad you like seeing my work and that your posting glitch is fixed (for blogger, you just have to wait and hope it fixes itself somehow!!).
Love your egrets, Rhonda! And thanks for the book rec: I agree with you--theres always something to learn!
Thanks, Laura. Yes, even a beginner’s book can have cool stuff in it.
