Had a scrap piece of paper - Fluid watercolor paper 140# cold press. Just put some color on without drawing and then had to go back in with white gouache to bring out the lights. Oh, well, you win some, you lose some.
Well Rhonda I think this is a winner...it really pops off the paper. I realize that pure watercolor artists don't use gouache for their lights but if it saves a painting - I think it is good. Also my mentor and friend would use white gesso at times to get back the white. As always your art is lovely and am so happy you share it. Try to stay cool - hope you did not get too many storms from Beryl. We had a lot of wind in the Ohio Valley but all was good and did get a very light rain...need more though. Hugs!

Thanks, Debbie! Yes, I have become less of a traditionalist with the watercolor so whatever works :). Hot days ahead of us!
