Another little fat Northern Cardinal. They aren’t really fatter during the winter, but fluff themselves up to keep warm. The males are redder during the winter - apparently, the females like their males with a bit of flash :)
Not fat, extra cuddley ;o) I stumbled across a webcam with cardinals and blue jays at a feeder. It was lovely watching them, they looked like jewels against a snowy background. I hope you are keeping warm and not too icy.
LOL, yeah, you want something pretty to look at! The males are very protective of the females at the feeders right now - they “guard” them while the females are eating and keep other males away :).
