The ink is going to take some getting used to as the 2 dip pens I have tend to drop blobs of color down every so often so just trying to learn with the green and yellow ink on the leaves. I don’t think marking the trunks will do anything but be a learning experience. May just use the inks for sketching.

I kinda feel like I'd like to see some texture on the trunks? Maybe some fanciful line work?

They are old and I didn’t take good care of them - just metal tips that seem pretty scratchy to me, Jennifer.
Thanks, Laura, I did play a bit on one trunk but lost interest - will go back and play more on this piece when I’m feeling well. Sinus pressure and pain and tiredness. I’m hoping the sore throat, sinus pressure and headache are sinus problems and not COVID (got my test Wednesday morning but no results yet).
