WHEN IN DOUBT, SPRAY IT OUT

I painted the background in a solid Shadow Violet from Daniel Smith.  Didn’t like it.  So I sprayed a bit of the background off with a strong spray bottle and water.  I then added a bit of green for a softer look, otherwise the pale flowers didn’t look good.

Rhonda great tip and I love the soft background. Who says watercolor cannot be fixed!! Hope you are seeing some spring weather and all is well with you. Hugs!

Well, when it doesn’t work, spraying out a “blah” background is always an option! ha ha.

Nice colors. And I love the flowers: so delicate, nicely drawn!
