SPRING ABSTRACTION INTO BITS

Abstracted painting cut into pieces, then laid side-by-side to create something else entirely.  I could glue it all to a support but I just pinned all the pieces to the cork board in my little art room.  May use some of the pieces for something later.

I like the collection of shapes and the way that you have laid out the collection in relation to eachother. This feels like it can lead in so many directions - images like these feel like they give a real insight into how you are working, like looking through your eyes. Thank you for that - it is very interesting.

Yes, you have some very interesting shapes here. It's a nice idea to put them on the cork board and think about them a bit. It'll be fun to see where they end up.

Seeing your work after a long time. You have moved on to something totally different. Something new as it gives you the freedom to place the shapes wherever you want. Fabulous idea.

Wow, Rhonda, every time I go away from the blogosphere for a bit, when I come back you're doing something completely different! It's inspiring!

Thanks for the positive comments on this playtime for me - the original was not anything worth seeing so cutting pieces up to rearrange seemed like the way to work on this one and I may just paint it this way - or not. Seems like playtime works in different ways. Thanks again, Lisa, Candy, Jennifer (I was thinking more spring blooms popping up but maybe balloons work! ha ha).
Thanks, Asit, you, too are doing something different with the iPad!!

Laura, great to hear from you and hope you are feeling inspired with spring coming. Thanks, Chris, yes, rethink your “duds” and see what happens :).
