Here are the Honorable Mention awards from the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society summer show at The Barn in Mariemont:
Eat Your Veggies
by Claudia Taylor
Bold and bright and ripe for the summer!
The Admirer
by Venetia Wang
Ventia is a fairly new member and has a very delicate touch with watercolor.
and
At the End of a Long Day
by Lydia Rittinger
All of these were smaller paintings,
all horizontal. Although the bottom painting info just said "watercolor", I'm pretty sure it's a batik without the ink added at the end.
Note Bene: According to the GCWS blog, there were 2 other Honorable Mention paintings, but I did not see them when I was there so maybe they had sold and been taken off the walls already? So...Honorable Mention ribbons also went to Carol Steuer (who did sell a painting) and Carole McAfee (our show chairperson).

I didn't even know you could use watercolour for batik work until a few weeks ago, I like the look of it and keep meaning to try it out
I like all three of them Rhonda :)
But my favourite is that cute and
delicate kitten :))
Have a beautiful Sunday!
Möwe
Oh Rhonda - all three paintings are super but love the one with the kitty and butterfly. Her touch is so soft and beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are having a great week-end. Hugs!
Hi Rhonda, thanks for sharing I have enjoyed looking at these paintings. Each one is very different to the other.
Thanks for sharing some of the winners. (I still think yours is a winner!)
Quite lovely pieces, all of them!
Glad you all enjoyed seeing the other winners since you can't come and see the show in
person :)
