A few more birds sketched in my sketchbook as I go through The Laws Guide to Drawing Birds.
I don't elaborate on these simple sketches because it's really about the shapes and positions of tails, backs, beaks, eyes. I may add color to them later.
One of my favorite birds is the Carolina Wren because it's so round and has its tail upright almost all the time = perky and quick, coming to the feeders and gone in a flash of tawny golden brown.
The class today continued to work on their poured paintings. Looking good!!

Point of view on that second bird is fabulous, Rhonda! You could do an Audobon book!
Thanks so much, Sherry. You are too kind - I have such a long way to go! Have a good TurkeyDay, whether you go to family or not - make sure you have something sweet for yourself (I am very big into pies right now!! ha ha)
Hey Rhonda- damn!! I hit the delete button on my iPhone and deleted your comment on my blog! Can u send it again? Happy turkey day back. Judging from your bird sketches here, you need to sketch a turkey . . . live or cooked!
I deleted your latest comment on my blog by mistake. Can u resend it. A happy T day back atcha!!
No worries, David. Hope it got through okay this time. Hard to remember exactly what I said, but I think it's close.
