My Over the Edge painting was matted and framed at Bowman's Framing last week - looks great. These are the same frames I use for my hydrangea paintings and they have a tint of blue or green or even red (on a couple) and are wood but look metal. I think they no longer make metal frames but make wooden frames that are painted to look metal. These even have a shine - sorry for the glare (taken out in the sunroom so couldn't get a decent photo without a bit of glare somewhere).
And here's a little House Finch, waiting his turn at the finch feeder.
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Very nice painting and framing.
It looks gorgeous in the mat and frame you chose! I love seeing a piece before and after the framing... The framing is so much a part of the artwork too. By the way, where is Bowman's and how do their prices compare to Michaels?
Love your choices of frames, Rhonda. The red little finish is so pretty! I don't think I've seen one before...
Thanks, Christiane and Sherry :)
Katherine, I've never used Michael's, so don't know the difference. Ken Bowman does give an artist discount and a small (1/4 sheet painting) usually runs $100-$135, based on what frame you choose. Just Google Bowman's Framing. I've used his shop since 2006.
Rhonda - this looks wonderful in the frame you chose. I like the medley of colors in this wood one. Me thinks not only is that house finch waiting its turn for some seed but possibly to have his portrait done! Have a great week.
Looks really good!
Thanks, Debbie and Deb :)
Love your over the edge painting.
