Whenever I see wisteria, I feel wistful, wanting to be somewhere it grows - but I am! I don't have to be in South Carolina to see it growing around here - I just have a look out for it. I wonder if I should plant some and see where it may go? I love wisteria and lilacs (I do have a lilac bush by the house).
These Wednesday photos are wonderful! I adore wisteria too and last year I posted several photos of the wisterias in our neighbourhood. Beautiful! Mrs A
I just adore Wisteria and fondly remember the one house we owned where it was growing beautifully. Not sure it would handle our windy climate where I am now but I just love to see it. Have painted it just the once
I'll have to come by and check out your wisteria photos, Mrs. A!
Lorraine, there is something otherworldly about it - especially when it is this large!
Yes, it's a beautiful thing, Sherry! I wonder how long it will be in full bloom like that? There is a gazebo behind it (the little rounded thing that looks like a chimney you can see at the top) that shows when this is not blooming.
I do like the little black handle at the top, by which one could pick up the wisteria and carry it home. I wish! Still waiting for it to bloom here in Michigan.
