Thanks so much to everyone who commented here and in private emails on my brother's heart attack. We were all surprised when he was released yesterday from the hospital. So the congestive heart failure/fluid buildup must have gotten better (they gave him a chest x-ray to check). He now has to take care of himself for 1.5 weeks before he sees his new cardiologist for further information about the other blocked arteries and the pacemaker (which was discussed in the hospital). I hope he doesn't go back to smoking!!! And I hope he takes his pills like he should.

I am so very glad to hear this, Rhonda!
I missed this! But I'm so glad to hear it's over and he's going home, I'm sure it's been enough of a fright and he'll take the medication and the changes required to get better <3
Thanks, Kathryn. Although we were surprised, he's happier at home, I know.
Teresa, thanks; you don't know my brother = he's always thought it was "fun" to do exactly the opposite he's told which is why he's in the mess he's in now; but I do hope this scare changes him a little!
It's been so long since I've visited any blogs that I missed this Rhonda. I do hope your brother is doing well and that you are as well.
Thanks, Ann :)
I am sorry about your brother and I hope he is well and back home by now.
Thank you, Irina. He is home now and has to visit the cardiologist soon for a check-up to see what needs to be done now. So far, he's not smoking!! :)
