The painting really captures the feeling of being there. Excellent. Brings back memories of the 3 trips to Yellowstone that we made as a family way back in my childhood. What awesome country!

Thanks, Sandy. Yellowstone is like no other place I've seen. I may try to capture more of the scenery of the place as the year goes on.

Thanks, Pam. I'm glad you like it!

Rhonda,
Sorry to learn of your "off" morning and hope it's nothing too serious. Now, on to the painting...
I greatly admire your sharing the initial stage of this work. Like many painters, including me, it can be uncomfortable to show the world a first go. I have admired your courage to do so from the first visit to your site.
The payoff is in this post. You have captured Yellowstone in all its raw beauty.
Congratulations,
Gary.

Thanks, Gary. Nothing too serious or maybe I'm just used to it! Glad you like the painting as is and thanks so much for the compliments - my favorites are blue and orange, no, that's complements! Seriously, thanks for those words. One day, when I become an "artiste" I may show only perfectly finished pieces, but until then you get the good and the bad (and I know when a piece is bad when NO ONE comments on it!).
