MORNING GLORY POOL, ALMOST FINISHED

Almost finished with this one - needs a bit darker blue in the middle to give it some depth...and maybe some steam in the form of white gouache here and there over the painting (or I might leave it without much steam).

Still working on The Hardest Portrait...

Hi RH - I see you are a real nature lover - it reads loud and clear in your work!

I really like how the green and blue are interacting with each other in the pool.

You are developing the colours beautifully Rhonda. It must be quite a magical place to visit. We have a Blue Pool in Dorset (SW England) but its not a patch on this pool.

What a challenging thing to paint. It is great to see how it has finished up. Nice job!

Rhonda I think that you have done a very good job on a very difficult subject and the colors are terrific.

I'm so pleased to have you stop by and comment, WK!!! I am trying to do more portraits - one a week, good or bad. It will take me a long time to get to your level on that, I know.

Gretchen, Joan, Elizabeth, thanks so much. Joan, the cooler colors in the sulfur pools are the hottest temps although some of them looked as inviting as the Caribbean!

Thanks, Vicki!
