Wednesday Give-Away

The first of 2 paintings was won Monday morning by Susan R. Now here are 2 more to choose from. Again, email me at RHCarpenter@gmail.com with your mailing address and which of the 2 paintings you prefer.

(See Monday's post for full information about how to participate in this give-away.) The same person cannot win more than once, giving others a chance to get a free painting.

Today THE THIRD PERSON to post a comment here wins the choice of these 2 paintings:

1. Watercolor painting on Arches 300# coldpress paper using Daniel Smith watercolor paints. The rose is a deep pink and I tried to match that in the photo as close as possible. The top is very dark and rich with a mottle background. This one is painted to the edges of the 11 1/4 x 15 1/8 sheet of watercolor paper and can be matted down to 10 3/4 x 14 1/8.

2. Transparent watercolor painted on 140# Fabriano Uno coldpress paper, it's painted to the edges of the 11 x 15 sheet and can be matted down to 10 x 14. This was one of my first tries at painting glass using a photo from Sandy in class.

Be the THIRD person who posts a comment today to win one of these - you can choose which one you want.

Well, I'll get it started for you this morning, Ronda. I think your "give away" is a fun idea. I have a ton of paintings that could use new homes too. :-)

I think they are both great Rhonda! so here is to helping out someone else.

I will post too Rhonda as this is a grand idea. Since I'm 2nd, I will say I prefer the jar painting. Really cool glass work. :)

Ann, you were actually THIRD! So you win - the glass jars and apple painting. Send me your address offlist and I'll get it out on Friday (or tomorrow if I get energetic!)
My sister called and said, "Has anyone posted 2nd yet?" Here I thought no one wanted either of them so they weren't posting and she said she figured they were like her, waiting for the 2nd person to post so they could be third! That makes me feel better - I was getting a bit down in the dumps thinking they must be pretty bad if several people came by without posting at all today - now I get it!

Wow, I can't believe it! It must have been by a matter of seconds then because I was sure I was the 2nd one to post. I really looking forward to this Rhonda. Thanks for brightening my day!

Good luck on the next draw everyone!

Don't forget to send me your mailing address, Ann :) Congrats! I hope you enjoy it.

And if you didn't get a painting and you still want to try, check out Friday's give-away. I haven't decided about the post number who will win yet - I'll do that later but it will be Friday and you'll have 2 new ones from which to choose.
