SUMMERTIME SLUMP

It’s hot and humid.  The news is not good, there is nothing much I want to do so…

going to take a break until September, I think (unless my painting muse returns from her sabbatical!!).

I appreciate all the comments on my post and apologize for not doing the same for you on your recent posts (there are some blogs I cannot post on for some strange reason - it keeps asking me to sign in, which I do, then it leads me to the comment section and I try to comment and it tells me I don’t have permission and need to sign in with Google - a loop that gets me nowhere - I’m sure it’s just a google glitch and will fix itself someday).

It's too hot to think isn't it. I tried painting yesterday, impatiently, and the acrylic was drying far too quickly to do anything with. I really should have known better. Enjoy your break, I hope it cools for you soon.

Yes, the heat and humidity make it hard to be energetic, Lisa :). It is going to get below 85 this weekend so maybe some painting then (I’ve signed up for 2 Domestika courses on portraits and will see how that goes and have some new alcohol inks to play with).

Enjoy your time off, Rhonda. I'm having trouble getting rolling, too. It's even humid here! Anyhow, I'm spending some time drawing and a little time whining about the heat and humidity:)

The heat here really went on too long, I was wilting. Then, about 3 days ago, it broke: heavenly! I hope relief comes your way soon!

Thanks, Candy and Laura. The heat broke for a while and now we’re going to get more with rain = hot and humid. Oh the joys of the Ohio Valley in August! See you all in September, hopefully!
