FRUITY STAMPS

Using fruits as stamps for watercolor stamping on paper.  Then cut out the shapes.  Makes a cute card or small painting to send to a friend.

You can try apples, pears, even the base of a celery stalk - use your imagination and see what you can create :)

Dear Rhonda what a great and creative idea. This is one I really want to try. Liked the solid block of color you incorporated also. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week.

Thank you, Sadami, Debbie and Rike :) This is very easy to do and would work well in a journal or as a little watercolor card - try it just for fun. Take the fruit, cut it and then dip the cut piece into watercolor and stamp it onto paper (or a paper towel first, if it's too saturated). The celery stalk cut at the bottom of the stalk looks a bit like a rose when printed :)

that looks really nice :) I tend to forget that art projects I did as a kid can still be used now

I've always heard of this but never did it. Your apples came out great.
