More work on this one - I'm not moving too slow, but trying to leave things undone, walking away and then going back to look more carefully.
And using the red viewfinder to see the values better. I've darkened areas where it should have been left lighter, according to the photo. Of course, I could just choose my own light path and try for that.
Finished.
Half sheet Arches 140# cold press paper.

Mixing reds and greens and no mud! So, why are you taking this workshop??? Looks good to me.
That's beautiful Rhonda, absolutely love it!
LOL, Deb! It's too much fun to take a workshop from Carol - can't resist - and you KNOW I still need lots of help.
Teresa, thanks! How are you??
Beautiful mix of red and green, lovely flow!
I think this is beautiful too, Rhonda. Love those tropical colors!
This is really good, how do you get the brightness in your color, it seems to shine!
Thanks so much, Celia, Sherry and Caroline. Caroline, I just kept the green from mixing with the reds as much as possible, and when it did mix, it was very wet-in-wet on very wet paper so it didn't seem to dull as much - and I got lucky! ha ha
Rhonda lucky indeed (lol)....it's because you know what you are doing. This really is quite lovely. Carol Carter workshop....I am so envious!
Thank you, Maggie. It was a great workshop - I'll rest and catch up later and post some photos :)
