A BEACH VACATION

Just returned from a beautiful week in the St. Augustine/Crescent Beach area of Florida.  Watching waves, birds, people; filling my shoes with beach sand and my pockets with seashells.  Now just catching up on things but here are a few photos to share from the trip.  Enjoy!

High Tide from the Deck

Low Tide from the Deck

Shell on the Beach, Tide Coming In

Collected Shells on the Table

Sweetie is a Last Born child.  The rules just don't apply to him!

This was taken - busted!! - at the St. Augustine Pier and beach.

Looks like a wonderful place to get away from it all. Thanks for sharing your wonderful photographs.

Welcome back. Glad you had a fun time in FL. If you're like me your vacation will be a distant memory in a few days.

Will we see some watercolors from this trip? I hope so. Those shells look pretty nice. Tell your Sweetie to watch out! :)

Gorgeous photos, Rhonda! Glad you were able to get away too. Hope you were able to relax and were migraine free.

I cannot tell you the last time I went on a vacation to anywhere. Maybe when my girls were pretty young and I took them to Disneyland with a tax return. How I am beginning to really feel the need for a vacation!

Funny! As a first-born, I have always been envious of the last-born's ease n the world.
Looks like a perfect getaway!

Glad you liked the pics, Vandy :)

Yes, vacations fade so quickly! I may do a few birds (we went to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine and Sweetie shot tons of photos of the nesting birds).

Thanks, Sherry. I wish you could get away for a long weekend - even that helps.

Laura, as a First Born, I stick to the rules and don't trespass, walk where I'm not supposed to, etc. Sweetie seems to have a lot less stress in his life breaking the rules that "make no sense" to him!

It looks so very beautiful there, Rhonda. You are so lucky to have had a week there!

Kathryn, I do enjoy visiting places, even those I've been to before - I just hate the travel aggro getting there with packing, carrying heavy bags, checking in, going through TSA, etc. But once I'm there, I do relax and enjoy.

Jeepers, my hubby is in the middle, but last of the boys, and you know there are NO rules that apply to him! Also - that's some tide change - wow, tons of beach to water practically under the deck - when it comes in you better skedaddle!
So glad you had a good time.

Hi Rhonda,
Why don't you two just surrender and move to the Caribbean? Or Hawaii! :))
Looks like a wonderful time was had by each of you. Thanks for sharing.
Sincerely,
Gary.

Thanks, Deb, Debbie and Gary. Gary, if we moved, we'd miss this gorgeous spring we're having in KY right now - so green and fresh and blooms all over (of course, allergies have not kicked in yet so I'm happy). Ah, the choices to make. I do believe I could be happy on a beach at any time because the waves are always different. You are so lucky (and brave) to have made the switch and are now living in paradise :)
