Is that one of William's ensos in the top painting? (I had to check his blog for the term for that circle.) I like both of these.

Thanks, Diana, for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I like Thich Nhat Hahn's works, too - such a gentle man!

Thanks, Jane :) Just pouring on the paint and then seeing that's there :)

Hallie, I did think of Bill when I put than enso in :)

Bill, glad you're enjoying - pouring paint and letting it do it's thing and then cropping to make 2 paintings from a large sheet. Nothing like your more intense work but I'm glad you like it. Yes, energy allowed to flow on these.

Rhonda, I have been away from my computer for a few days, so am just catching up on my favourite blog posts. The colours and freedom in this is just sublime! I have not had a chance to try out any of this type of painting yet…and am itching to do so. Did you use any masking on this one? It’s the thought of masking out that is causing me great angst at the moment! My Arches140lb HP half sheets have arrived, so I’ve go no excuses really…. apart from buying some plastic for the carpet (loll)… Do you ever use watered-down regular acrylics…or just fluid ones?

Maggie, sounds like you're ready to go! I used fluid acrylics (don't have but a handful of regular acrylics)and poured on the hotpress paper and then sprayed with a spray bottle of water to get the runs and drips (yes, you do have to protect your floor and wall if working on it taped to the wall). I didn't use masking on this at all - and you can do multiple layers, just let the first pale layer dry, then do it again, and again :) Will be waiting to see your first efforts!

Muchas gracias, Carlos :)
