Terrific, Rhonda! I watched your dialogue with Maggie and it looks as if you are resolving the issue she pointed out.
You are an inspiration for exploring all these watercolor techniques you have been doing. This weekend I think I will follow your example and practice, too.
Love that you left the whites. It will make me more conscious of doing that more as well.
Judy, thanks. To soften, I'd just use a damp (not wet) brush and touch around those hard lines in between the background and pear and that would lift them a bit.
Thanks, Dee! I had finished this when Maggie made her last comment - I guess I'm not afraid of backgrounds but it does help to figure it all out in the beginning than try it later.
Thanks so much, Jane, Caroline and Pam! Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks, Hallie and Autumn :) Autumn, you don't like pears? Hmmm...never met anyone who didn't like pears - I don't like strawberries and people look at me like I'm insane when I tell them that.

Rhonda, these have turned out great! So glad you tried this using a lighter touch.
I love the pears! And I admire your background, that is something I don't do well. How do you soften the edges, just curious?

Good job. Enjoy the weekend!
Rhonda, these are great! I especially like the highlights.
Rhonda, love the beautiful delicate washes in your pear painting.
Perfect name, perfect harmony between pears, fore and backgrounds with the shadow keeping them grounded.
Thanks, Maggie. Glad I could keep it light!

wonderful pears ...like the simplicity rhonda
Thanks, Jane. Sometimes simple is the best but it's hard for me to be patient enough to glaze :)
