This post has nothing to do with Superbowl Sunday, except the it is posted on that day!

This is the ONLY watercolor sketch I did in my Stillman & Birn watercolor sketchbook while on vacation.  It was not a very creative 2 weeks.

We did see the full moon out the windows during our stay.  Unfortunately, we never saw it over the water due to storms and clouds.

And it always takes me a few days - or weeks - to get back into the groove when I return home.

So I am finally working on something from the many photos I took during our stay away, and I'll share it as a WIP (Work-In-Progress) as I go along...

I have scheduled a Pilates session tomorrow - and they are predicting snow showers with accumulations and COLD temperatures, so I may just have to stay in and paint instead.  Hope you don't have strong storms or snow accumulations this week - let's hold Puxatawny Phil at his word (he did NOT see his shadow on Groundhog Day early spring is on its way).

What a creative woman! You could not forget watercolour even in a vacation. Rhonda, please forget everything in holidays and just put priority of your indulgences. Please take care and take it easy and slowly. Best wishes, (( Hugs )) Sadami

Hi Rhonda,

Glad you had some wonderful time in the sun! Your photos are great!
Thank you for your comment, and thank you for understanding. I am just heading into Vancouver for another round of clean-up.

Well, I have to admit, Sadami, that I sketched this out and then painted it once I got home - felt guilty about carrying my travel stuff and then not even wetting a brush! But sometimes that's what happens.

Kathryn, glad you enjoyed the photos - some warmth for your cold northern climes :) Take care and remember to take time for yourself during this hard time, too, even if it's just a stop for coffee, a chocolate (or two) or a little quiet time.
