Today, I watched them ...Bill, I do love the birds. Today, I watched them and smiled - a dozen cardinals coming round, then 4 blue jays, then the woodpeckers and - wait! A cry from a jay and the woodpecker and flicker stopped - still as stone. I looked up - there was a hawk! They didn't move until the big hawk flew away.
