Yes, being a step-mother (thank you, faery tales for making that a 4-letter word!) isn't always an easy road. And Ann, it never occurred to me to ask for a model release from a family member - which is what made this seem like a reminder that I'm not really family?? My reaction was overwrought, I'm afraid, and there is just too much family stuff going on right now to kill my buzz for life! That doesn't mean I'm not painting, though.RH Carpenterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497161758269292809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7104034804712021440.post-65982158300619011212009-12-08T07:46:02.832-05:002009-12-08T07:46:02.832-05:00Hope you defeated the blues, Rhonda. Technically, it is good to be on the safe side. Emotionally, it is kind of a downer to even have to think about getting a model release. Would a release have to be obtained if they are to be gifts? Sure would spoil the surprise, wouldn't itAnn Bucknerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08549669918916059105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7104034804712021440.post-14972104284131151762009-12-07T19:42:14.835-05:002009-12-07T19:42:14.835-05:00I understand Rhonda. The holidays can be tough so hang in there and find something to laugh about (even if you have to rent an old movie).Vicki Greenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08270035257336054899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7104034804712021440.post-3775499924524076652009-12-07T17:59:20.983-05:002009-12-07T17:59:20.983-05:00My dear, you have my permission and encouragement ...My dear, you have my permission and encouragement to be kind to yourself. Now give yourself the same permission and encouragement! Here's a good phrase to keep in mind..."It's none of my business what anyone else thinks of me." You're very brave to blog the way you do and there are scads of us out here who love you and appreciate your presence. Be like a duck. Let those worries roll off your back.
