WATERCOLOR BLOCKS - COLDPRESS, ROUGH AND HOTPRESS
I have purchased a few watercolor blocks in the past. They are mostly Arches brand, but some Lanaquarelle, too. I'm going to get them out and paint on them - what's the use of having things if you never use them?
What am I going to paint on them? Mostly birds.
Happy December!
Oh Rhonda - birds sound like the perfect subject. You are inspiring me to pull out some of my hidden away art treasures. Take care and have a delightful start to December. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your paintings on the watercolour blocks. I have only been painting in watercolour for a couple of years but have not seen these blocks in the art shops here.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the ones at the top, see them in stores but not surer of the quality so never grab them
ReplyDeleteYes, whenever I feel uninspired, I return to birds and they always help :). Using the various blocks will give me some play time, too, Debbie.
ReplyDeleteRosemary, all of the blocks are good quality artist paper, just in a different form - good for taking to a class or out in the field to save space.
Jennifer Rose, I'm lucky to have everything online - and some in craft/art stores but they are always more expensive in a brick-and-mortar shop than online - especially with all the sellers having holiday sales right now online.
