BLUE RAIN CROW
Darkness below her, and deep blues closing in around her. Dull grey surroundings closing in.
Blue Rain Crow
Watercolor on Arches 140# coldpress paper
15 x 22 inches
Think I'll just draw in the crow in graphite, pale and almost disappearing.
Finished.
Really like this one! Hope migraines are over for now and a long time to come.
ReplyDeleteRhonda, well done! The work has captured a mood well, which interests viewers. Cheers, Sadami
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful! :)
ReplyDeletevery nice, kind of dark. hope the migraines have not returned
ReplyDeleteOh I love the affect you captured here friend. Such a great creative piece. Hope you have a super Thanksgiving! Hugs
ReplyDeleteyou know how I feek about your wonderful birds-you always convey their 'personality'!
ReplyDeleteI like the dreamlike quality to this one and the previous crow...I feel like the birds are static and the background is going at warp speed - like they are cawing out a message or warning. The ambiguity makes for many different readings.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, I have been reading a collection of Neruda's odes lately and came across his 'Ode to bees' it made me think of you. I wondered if you were familiar with it? There is some lovely imagery within it.
Best wishes.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner - I just don't get on the blog as much anymore to comment but I stlll watch what you are doing and am glad you all are more productive than I am right now :). Nothing serious - migraines are gone - election is over - just got out of the habit, I guess.
