Here's the little cute sandpiper, by herself. She thinks she looks just fine :) On Lanaquarelle 6" x 8" 140# cold press watercolor paper from a pad. Don't Get Your Feet Wet
Dear Rhonda - I think she does looks just fine. So lovely - you are really getting a great series going here with your birds. So delightful. Hope you are staying warm. Brrr it is very cold here tonight.
Thanks, Sadami and Laura. I think I need to lighten her webbed feet a bit to give them more dimension but I'm pleased with this one, so far. Hallie, yes, perhaps that's why the others weren't with her - she's just too flirty for them? ha ha
Thanks, Debbie - yes, too cold for anything but polar bears and penguins!!!
Sherry, thanks so much. I used a trick from Shirley Trevena: get some sandpaper and scrape a watercolor pencil across it to leave bits on the paper (while it's wet). When the paper dries, blow off any excess that didn't stick. Makes great texture!
hi, rhonda, vry cute! sounds like a poem!!
ReplyDeleteShe does look great! I love the softness of the colors and washes ... but with a strong feeling of light.
ReplyDeleteShe's looking a bit flirty. Nice.
