Maggie, this was taken a few year's ago - we were in British Columbia and toured a farm and these guys came running to meet us :)

I think they are alpacas - they have farms around here, too, where they raise them for their wool. I'm not sure what the difference is between them and llamas - they look the same to me but alpaca wool is soft as silk (and more expensive).
