GREENS AND BLUES

A bit looser, a bit bigger brush.  Easy to not draw anything here - in fact, what would you draw?

  1. I love it as it is. I can focus on the sky which has some beautiful swirls and washes of blue. You paint with such confidence Rhonda.

  3. It is beautiful as it is, and is reminiscent of the summer; missing the warmth very much now xx

  7. There is really good recession in the sky, I feel like I can float right through. I can't wait to see a blue sky like that, you are such a tease ;o)

  10. Love the 'top of the mountain' feel of this. Great aerial
perspective and such a yummy sky! Love all the shades of green.

  12. Its good to test the boundaries without a guide of a drawing beneath. It provides a certain freedom to experiment and just let paint flow.

  13. Lisa, Sherry, Pam and Jan: Thanks for the comments - glad you like it.

Hi, Sadami; I'm trying to be healthy but it's not easy! ha ha Bad habits are hard to break!

Thanks, Jeanette. Letting the paint do it's thing is the hardest thing for a control freak who just wants to do "one more thing" and then it's overdone! Loving your encaustics - you are always stretching the boundaries.

  15. Thanks, Renate. I used a photo of a highway and the clouds and trees but left out the highway so had a lot of leeway with what I wanted to put in and leave out. Mostly, it was about the sky.
